More Pop Top Tab Bracelets

Yesterday I made bracelets with my 15 year old Grand Daughter. She loves these bracelets so I was thinking that maybe we could try putting some beads on one. I have a variety of colors in the pony beads which I thought would work with the larger holes that they have. Purple is one of her favorite colors so this is what we made.
To make these bracelets with the beads, simply follow the instructions given in the links of my previous post.
http://craftythisandthat.blogspot.com/2009/07/another-pop-tab-bracelet.html
The only change in the instructions would be to add the bead as in the third photo below. Easy!!
We were also thinking that different colors of elastic cording would be pretty to use on these....but where can we find the colored elastic cording? I really would love to find it in black and colors.
Anyone know?

Something Old, Something New....

Do you remember the quick little bracelet that I showed about a month ago? If you didn't see it, go back to Aug. 11th and there it is.
My Niece is getting married in October and she is using the lavender or purple as her accessory colors. She wants to carry something that belonged to her "Granny". My Sister who is my Niece's Mother asked me if maybe I had one of Mother's handkerchief's. Together, talking long distance, we came up with the perfect handkerchief and the little pearls that came from a broken necklace of Mother's. (Mother sadly passed away over 20 years ago.)
I found some little lavender colored crystal beads at Michael's that were a perfect match with the lavender colored pearls. So, I made another bracelet for my Niece, and I'm giving the first bracelet I made to my Sister.
Here is the set for my Niece.

Quick Bracelet

I made this cute bracelet and decided I would show it off. It was real easy to make and didn't take long at all.
First I rounded up the beads and crystals I wanted to use and a kit that included the wire and the clasp ends. One clasp end was already hooked to the wire so all I had to do was to slip the beads and crystals on the wire in the order I wanted them and fasten off the other end. It is so cute and dainty.

More Do It Yourself Jewelry

This is the same type kit I used to make the silver color with black earrings and a pendant a few weeks ago. You can see the other set here at this link. I found the kits in WalMart Crafts/Beading section. I really like the turquoise and silver color together.
The kit contained six sections already fastened together. I separated four of the sections then added the end fasteners (purchased separately) to make the bracelet. Then I separated the other two sections and added the ear hooks (also purchased separately) for the pair of earrings.

This is about as easy as it gets to make your own jewelry!

Another Pop Top Tab Bracelet

I made this bracelet from a tutorial that I watched on a YouTube Video. You can watch it HERE.
I also found the written instructions with photos HERE on this page of the wonderful Creative Origins blog.
I found these instructions to be very easy to understand.
Thank you Creative Origins for these easy instructions!
I used silver colored wrapped elastic cording and it looks nice with the tabs. I pulled the elastic so that I didn't leave any slack between the links. When I finished and tied it all together, there is just enough stretch so that the bracelet slides over my hand. I used 26 tabs and the bracelet is 8 inches.

Pop Top Tab Jewelry

Thank you for all the comments and suggestion on the pop top tabs! I decided to try my hand at a little jewelry. The below photos are the result of my first try. With a little practice they can be made very quickly. These pieces took me about two hours to make. The bracelet contains tabs back to back so there is no rough side touching the wrist. I used a total of 18 tabs for the bracelet. It is 8 inches long.
I will definitely be playing around with more of these tabs and I do have a plan for donation of any that I may not use. Thank you again for all the suggestions.

Do It Yourself Jewelry

I found these pretty do-it-yourself jewelry pieces in the beading section of WalMart.
The top photo shows three of the sections, but before I used part of the set, it originally had 6 sections of connected beads.
I think it would have made a nice bracelet by just adding the closure to the ends but I decided to make earrings and a pendant on a chain.
The set turned out pretty and I still have enough left to make a second set.
